:: Fireworks...


Arkadasim Rick Krejci'nin 5 Temmuz 2008'de goruntuledigi "Fireworks" gok adasi (NGC6946) goruntusunu ve Rick'in teknik bilgilerini ve yorumunu gonderiyorum.
Rick bu inanilmz goruntuyu cekmek icin 3 saaten fazla calisti.

Being the 4th of July weekend, with a super clear night with no moon (how often does that happen here!), I decided to try a galaxy I've not tried before...NGC6946, which happens to be nicknamed the Fireworks Galaxy.

Not sure why I'd not noticed this gem, but the Ha regions are more abundant than I'd seen in a galaxy before (thus the name!). To do it justice, I added some Ha data to the red channel to show it off a little more.

I had some issues with the guide camera, so I wound up going unguided.
Even unguided, with great seeing and the great NJP mount, I was
getting around 2 arcsec FWHMs and nice round stars...a great night!
